One time, Bert was romantic.
It was on his fourth 'official' date with Gerard (official because he doesn't count make out sessions on the bus as a date. Where's the class in that?), and he pulled out all the stops. Roses, chocolate, fancy restaurant, limo, everything. All the stuff he had deemed 'girly shit' on their first official date.
In the limo, Gerard told him, "If you want in my pants, you didn't have to go to all this trouble." Bert just laughed.
"I know that. I just wanted to do this." He almost looked offended before he remembered 'romance' and sat up a bit straighter. "Besides, you're so pretty. Pretty girls deserve nice things." This was followed by a snicker and Gerard realized he was supposed to set Bert up for some line, so he did.
"And what do ugly girls deserve?"
"You don't know what your own girlfriend deserves?" Cackling.
Gerard sighed. Figured. "Ex-girlfriend." He said, but it was pointless. Bert was enjoying this too much. He'd never let Gerard forget that he dated, kissed, slept with that.
That being the girl known as Eliza, but in Bert's mind she was just "that stupid bitch Gerard fucked".
Gerard couldn't complain, because there was nothing in that description that wasn't true.
